Renowned Nigerian on-air personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, popularly known as Dotun or Do2dtun, has announced his decision to leave radio after two decades of a remarkable career.

Do2dtun took to Instagram to reflect on his journey, sharing a heartfelt message of gratitude to his mentors, colleagues, and fans. From his early days as an intern at Cool FM Lagos in 2004 to becoming a household name, Dotun recounted his growth and contributions to the industry.
He thanked late radio legend Dan Foster, as well as other influential figures like Olisa Adibua and Daddy Freeze, for their mentorship during his formative years in broadcasting.
In Dotun words: “This must be one of the hardest decisions I have made. I am fulfilled in my heart that I built a legacy. My sweet home @coolfmlagos accepted me on November 1st, 2004, as an intern—dusty, unprepared, and clueless about radio. I was doubtful and scared, but my hands were held by some of the most selfless colleagues ever.”
Dotun reminisced about the shows he created, including “Cool Nigerian Vibe,” “Superstar Wednesday,” and “Office Concert,” which helped redefine radio content by integrating 70% Nigerian music and culture into broadcasts.

The OAP described his journey as a rollercoaster filled with the good, the bad, the awesome, and the ugly but expressed pride in the legacy he built.
Fans and industry colleagues have since flooded his comment section with messages of admiration, celebrating his achievements and wishing him well in his next chapter.
Dotun’s departure marks the end of an era for radio lovers who have enjoyed his vibrant personality and innovative shows over the years.
