The love child Nollywood actress, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe had for Senator Dino Melaye, is five years old today.
Recall Bisi had a running battle with the Kogi politician over the paternity of the baby. Even her friend, actress Lola Alao, joined forces with Dino to deny the pregnancy too.
Despite that, Bisi had the baby, her first and still only child, and had a big christening ceremony at her Magodo home.
She christened the baby even when Dino refused to show up.
When asked by Kemi Ashefon in an interview when she had five years ago on what she felt as a new mum, Bisi said:
“It is exciting! It is an experience I pray every woman goes through. Luckily for me, I had my parents and family members who stood by me when I was pregnant. Also, I had my friends who supported me despite what went down in the media on who impregnated me. God was with me. In fact, I had a wonderful time and never suffered any illness. I was strong and still going about my other businesses. Everyone stood by me and there was no time to go into depression. Contrary to what the rumour mill had, I was in my home (was never evicted and I am as comfortable as ever). When the baby came last year, it was a hitch-free delivery. It was a girl and we christened her Destiny Oluwajomiloju Dino-Melaye. Her father is a former legislator but I don’t want to talk about that issue now. I just want to savour all that motherhood has brought my way.”
But it’s all over now.
Everyone is back together as friends and Senator has claimed his child.
Bisi and Lola are friends again.
Bisi lives happily as a single mum. She clocked 40 in January 2017. On this occasion, she wrote :
“My love my life my princess my best friend happy birthday princess wishing you long life in good health in Jesus amen ? love love love ???????”
