Nigerian media mogul Dele Momodu has addressed concerns surrounding his niece, Sophia Momodu, and music star Davido amid reports of a custody dispute.
Sharing an update on his Instagram page from Liberia, Momodu said the situation is being closely monitored behind the scenes and reassured fans that everything will be resolved.
He described the overwhelming support Sophia is receiving and Davido’s continued acclaim.
“Here in Liberia, @davido is treated as the god of music. I’ve been visiting here for over two decades, but this visit is different. I came to commiserate with my friend and Sister, former Vice President H.E. Dr Jewel Howard-Taylor, on the passing of her only child, Charles Philip Neilsen Taylor Jr. Since landing here, I have been inundated with messages from fans of David, and ladies who love @thesophiamomodu to bits,” he wrote.

Momodu revealed that a fan had urged him to step in and mediate the situation. “One of them is this ‘fashion designer’ @lorine.doe who said I should step in and settle the ‘quarrels.’ My dear Sister, thanks so much. Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be alright. We are working behind the scenes. Pls keep everyone in your prayers,” he added.
The update highlights the ongoing public interest in the relationship between Sophia Momodu and Davido, as well as the supportive role Momodu is playing in easing tensions privately.
