Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is set to mark 15 years in the music industry with a three-night concert residency at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, in December.
The award-winning artiste announced the project on his verified Instagram page on Friday, revealing that the event, tagged “Oriadè: The Residency”, will run from December 17 to 19.
Davido shared the announcement alongside videos showing him performing to large crowds, as well as scenes from Lagos and the National Theatre.
Reflecting on his decision to bring the celebration home, the singer wrote: “LAGOS!!! We bringing it HOME! 15 years of madness and there’s nowhere I’d rather be.
“The world has shown us so much love,” he said in the Instagram post.
The three-day event will see Davido headline performances at the National Theatre on consecutive nights as he celebrates a career that has taken him from Nigeria’s music scene to major stages around the world.
Davido first gained widespread recognition in 2011 with the release of “Dami Duro”, which helped establish him as one of the leading voices of a new generation of Nigerian artistes.

He has since built an extensive catalogue featuring songs such as “If,” “Fall,” and “Aye”, while his collaborations with artistes from different parts of the world have further expanded his reach.
Over the years, Davido has performed before large audiences across Africa, Europe and North America and has played a significant role in taking Afrobeats to international audiences.
With “Oriadè: The Residency”, the singer is set to return to Lagos for three nights of performances as he commemorates 15 years of his musical career.
