Afrobeats star David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has weighed in on the surprise resignation of his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The singer shared the news on his X page on Tuesday with the short caption, “Jeje…”, a comment many interpreted as his way of urging supporters and observers to remain calm amid the unfolding political situation.
Governor Adeleke’s exit from the PDP was revealed in a letter dated November 4, 2025, and addressed to the chairman of Ward 2 in Ede North.
In the letter, he explained that persistent, unresolved disagreements within the party’s national leadership pushed him to withdraw his membership.

His resignation has thrown the party into uncertainty, especially with the 2026 Osun governorship primary approaching.
Although the Osun PDP chapter announced plans to delay the primary due to internal challenges, the National Working Committee insisted the exercise would proceed as scheduled — even though Adeleke was the only candidate who had purchased the nomination form.
