Who is popping champagne? Of course Bobrisky will!
It’s good news in some quarters as crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, travelled abroad after two unsuccessful attempts.
This time, there was no immigration or EFCC arrest.
The controversial figure shared a video of himself on Instagram Story onboard an aircraft on Monday morning with the caption, “See you soon Nigeria.”
To corroborate his point, Bobrisky shared another post, where he claimed that the travel disruptions he suffered previously cost him over N30 million buying first-class tickets. He captioned, “Dis girl bought first class ticket 3 times that’s over 30 million. Raise bar for dis girl.”
Recall that Bobrisky was detained last Friday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after being removed from a London-bound airplane in Lagos following his refusal to honour an invitation from the agency.
The EFCC revealed that Bobrisky was needed to clear a misunderstanding which arose from a voice note posted on Instagram by social media personality, VeryDarkMan.
The voice note indicated that Bobrisky allegedly gave a bribe of N15million to EFCC officials in order to drop money laundering charges against him.
He was released from EFCC custody last weekend after disowning the voice note.
This was after he was arrested by immigration officers at the Seme Border, where he earlier attempted to depart from Nigeria.
