Imagine the young soldier who promised his mother he’d return, the father who left behind little children hoping to see them grow, or the wife who held her husband one last time before he marched off to war. For many, those goodbyes were final. The grief they left behind is something words cannot fully describe.
Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Today, as we see wreaths being laid and hear the sounds of salutes, let us not just remember their deaths but also celebrate their lives.
