Raymond Dokpesi is dead. He was the founder of DAAR Communications and African Independent Television (AIT).

In a release, his son Raymond Dokpesi jr. said that Dokpesi died on Monday, May 29, 2023.

“High Chief Dokpesi was a loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. “Everyone who knew him will miss him very much,” Dokpesi said.

“High Chief Dokpesi was also a recognised and successful businessman, a pioneer in the media industry, and a philanthropist who spent his life serving his country and his community. Many people’s lives will be changed because of what he did.

He said that the family is thankful for all the love and support they are getting during this hard time.

“We ask that you think of us and pray for us as we mourn the death of our father. We also want to be left alone as a family while we grieve,” Dokpesi said.

“The family will say more about the funeral plans when the time is right.”
