Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has renewed his appeal for lasting peace between National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) President Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, and the union’s Lagos State Chairman, Mustapha Adekunle, also known as Tafa Sego.
The singer made the appeal on Sunday while performing at the 80th birthday celebration of Alhaji Mudassir Ogunlowo in Ibadan, Oyo State.
A video posted on the Instagram page of K1 De Ultimate Digital Media showed MC Oluomo and Sego standing on opposite sides of the musician as he entertained guests.
During the performance, KWAM 1 used his lyrics to urge the two transport union leaders to work together and warned those wishing them harm.
“Mustapha and MC are in charge of the house. For those of you wishing them evil, we know you but it is left to you and God.
“If you are a commercial driver in Nigeria, this is your boss. MC, if you are on the move, make sure you hold Sego with you,” he sang.
The video was accompanied by a caption suggesting that the long-running disagreement between the two men had been resolved.
“PEACE AT LAST! MC Oluomo & Mustapha Sego Finally End Their Long-Time Rift in Ibadan,” the post read.
The latest appearance followed an earlier intervention by KWAM 1, who reportedly brought the two NURTW figures together for a reconciliation meeting at Ojusagbola in Ijebu, Ogun State. Several union leaders were said to have attended the gathering.
The musician’s digital media platform had announced the settlement, describing it as the end of a disagreement that had lasted for years.
“After years of an age-long rift, MC Oluomo and Tafa Sego have finally settled their differences. And from what we know now, this is final,” the post said.

The dispute between MC Oluomo and Sego has been associated with leadership struggles within the Lagos chapter of the transport union.
Their differences attracted public attention in January 2019 when violence broke out at an All Progressives Congress campaign rally in Ikeja, leaving MC Oluomo injured.
Reports at the time linked the disruption to a supremacy contest involving supporters of both men. The police subsequently declared Sego wanted in connection with the incident.
In September 2019, Sego was appointed to the caretaker committee of the NURTW led by MC Oluomo, marking another development in the union’s leadership structure.
MC Oluomo later stepped down as chairman of the Lagos State chapter in January 2024 amid another leadership disagreement.
The rivalry between their camps appeared to resurface during KWAM 1’s New Year All White Party in Lagos on January 2, 2026. The musician publicly acknowledged MC Oluomo as the union’s leader, drawing a reaction from individuals associated with Sego’s camp.
KWAM 1’s latest appeal and the public appearance of both men at the Ibadan celebration point to renewed efforts to sustain the reconciliation and prevent another round of disagreements between the NURTW figures.
