Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has spoken about his wife’s reaction to his relationships with some actresses, claiming she knew about the affairs and sometimes provided meals for the women when they stayed overnight at their home.
Quadri shared the experience during an interview on the Africanalist Podcast, recounting how some of the actresses he dated eventually developed friendships with his wife.
He said the women would sometimes disclose details of his other relationships to his wife, even though they were also romantically involved with him.
The actor recalled that the situation became so familiar that some of the actresses would approach his wife to gossip about his alleged involvement with other women in the movie industry.
“It got to a stage, I won’t mention the ladies name in the industry. They would become friends with my wife and start giving gossip to my wife that I am dating so so so in the industry,” he said.
According to Quadri, his wife was already aware of the relationships and did not engage in confrontations with the actresses over them.
He added that jealousy occasionally affected some of the women he was dating, with some choosing to leave for home despite his wife’s knowledge of the situation.
“And there were some of them that we were dating who went home out of jealousy. Meanwhile, my wife would say she was aware already and she doesn’t fight them cause of that,” he added.
The actor also explained that the demands of movie production sometimes resulted in late finishes, making it difficult for some cast members to return home immediately.

He said some of the actresses would spend the night at his residence after such shoots, adding that his wife knew about his relationships with them and still attended to their needs.
“Sometimes when production ends late, they would sleep in my house. And that my wife is aware I am dating them, she would still feed them and everything,” Quadri stated.
His account offers a glimpse into his personal life and the dynamics he described between his marriage and relationships with colleagues in the film industry.
