Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has responded after his twin brother, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, accused their late mother and other members of the Okoye family of mistreating his wife, Lola Omotayo, during the latest episode of his tell-all series on the P-Square family dispute.
Taking to his social media pages on Friday, Rudeboy appeared to defend their late mother with a brief but emotional message.
“Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum,” he wrote.
His post followed the release of the eighth episode of Mr P’s video series on Thursday, where the singer revisited events he claimed contributed to the long-running rift within the Okoye family.
Mr P alleged that after he and Lola welcomed their first son, a family meeting was convened at his Omole residence, attended by their late mother, Josephine Okoye, brothers Jude, Paul and Tony, as well as some pastors.
According to him, the visit began normally until his mother asked to see Lola without the baby.
“When we moved into Omole, our mom came to visit. My son was about five or six months old. When my mom visited, I gave her the master bedroom and moved into Jude’s room. I was expecting my mom to ask, ‘How is your new baby?’ My mom didn’t ask. She just said, ‘How is Lola? I hope she’s fine.’ She said, ‘Can you tell her to come?’ I said, ‘Okay, do you want to see the baby?’ She said, ‘No. Let her come first.’
“Then Lola was living on the Island. How do you expect me to tell Lola my mom wanted to see her and ask her not to come with the baby? I had to lie to Lola not to come with the baby because we had fumigated the house,” he said.
Peter claimed that when Lola arrived, neither of them was offered a seat during the meeting.
“Everybody was seated… I went to call Lola. When she entered the room, nobody stood up or said, ‘Lola, sit down.’ Nobody even bothered to welcome her properly. Lola and I just sat on the floor.”
He further alleged that their mother told Lola to end the relationship.

“Young woman, we the Okoye family have decided that you should leave our son alone,” Peter claimed she said.
Mr P recalled questioning the reason for the meeting before Jude allegedly told his wife to leave him.
“I said, ‘What is going on?’ A few days earlier, Lola and I had had a small quarrel, so she looked at me thinking maybe I had planned this to evict the relationship. She said, ‘Babe, what’s going on?’ I asked my mum the same thing. Next thing, Jude said, ‘Leave our brother alone.’ I looked at Jude’s face.”
The singer also alleged that Jude later made a derogatory remark about his infant son, which Lola interpreted as describing the child as a “bastard.”
“Lola started crying. The pastors tried to calm her. They pushed Lola out of the house,” he claimed.
Peter further alleged that both Jude and Rudeboy had opposed Lola’s pregnancy and even questioned the paternity of his unborn child.
“Nothing that Jude and Paul didn’t do for Lola to take that pregnancy out,” he alleged.
Despite the family dispute, Mr P said their late mother later accepted that the child was his and instructed Jude and Paul to apologise, though he claimed that apology never came before her death.
He also dismissed claims that Lola had a strained relationship with their mother.
“When my mom was sick… Lola stayed with her in the hospital till midnight and took the pastors back home every day for over two months,” he said.
While Rudeboy did not directly respond to the specific allegations made in the video, many interpreted his social media post as a defence of their late mother.
The latest exchange adds another chapter to the long-running dispute involving the former P-Square members and their elder brother, Jude, over issues ranging from the group’s breakup and music royalties to business dealings and family relationships.
In earlier episodes of the series, Mr P accused Jude of financial misconduct, threatening his life and attempting to take over a jointly owned property in Atlanta. Jude has denied several of the allegations, maintaining that many of the matters are already before the court.
Rudeboy has largely avoided commenting publicly on the feud, with his management recently stating that the singer remains focused on his music career and has no intention of engaging in public exchanges over family issues.
