More than 20 players have reported to the Super Eagles camp in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom, ahead of Nigeria’s opening fixtures in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Team media officer, Promise Efoghe, confirmed the arrival of several key players, including Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Ola Aina, Tolu Arokodare, Akor Adams and Moses Simon.
Other players already in camp are Emmanuel Fernandez, Benjamin Fredericks, Moses Uzor, George Ilenikhena, Arthur Okonkwo, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Chibuike Nwaiwu, Bruno Onyemaechi, Raphael Onyedika and Frank Onyeka.
Taiwo Awoniyi has also joined the squad after being called up as a late replacement for the injured Victor Osimhen.
Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali are expected to arrive shortly, while Maduka Okoye is also due in camp in the coming hours.
The Super Eagles will begin their AFCON qualifying campaign against Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday.

The team will then travel to Bissau for their second qualifier against Guinea-Bissau’s Wild Dogs four days later.
Following the qualifiers, Nigeria are scheduled to face Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on October 6, with a reshuffled squad expected for the encounter.
