Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has been confirmed as the headline act for the opening day of the 2026 Reggae Land Festival, one of the United Kingdom’s biggest reggae and dancehall events.
The Afro-fusion star will perform on July 31 at the Milton Keynes National Bowl, marking his first appearance at the popular festival.
Festival organisers added an extra day to this year’s event after tickets for the original August 1 and 2 dates sold out in record time, prompting the expansion to a three-day celebration.
Burna Boy is set to lead the newly added opening day, joining an impressive lineup featuring Vybz Kartel, Shenseea, Beenie Man, Shaggy, Morgan Heritage, Tarrus Riley, Masicka, Christopher Martin, and Julian Marley.
The announcement comes shortly after the Nigerian superstar performed at the inaugural FIFA World Cup final halftime show, where he shared the stage with Justin Bieber, Madonna, and South Korean music group BTS during the 11-minute performance at New York New Jersey Stadium.
Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy rose to prominence with Like to Party, the lead single from his debut album L.I.F.E released in 2013.

Over the years, he has established himself as one of Africa’s biggest music exports, earning global acclaim for his Afro-fusion sound and a catalogue of chart-topping albums.
His discography includes L.I.F.E (2013), On a Spaceship (2015), Outside (2018), African Giant (2019), Twice As Tall (2020), Love, Damini (2022), I Told Them (2023), and No Sign of Weakness (2025).
Burna Boy also holds the record as the Nigerian artiste with the highest number of Grammy Award nominations, having received 13 nominations. He won his first Grammy in 2021, taking home the Best World Music Album award for Twice As Tall.
