The knockout phase of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is beginning to come into focus as the group stage approaches its final stretch and several Round of 32 matchups have now been confirmed.
A number of football giants have already booked their places in the next stage, including Brazil, Germany, France and Argentina.
Tournament co-hosts United States and Mexico have also progressed and will continue their campaigns with home support behind them.
Several places in the knockout bracket, however, remain undecided as qualification spots involving third-placed teams and final group standings are still being settled.

Friday, July 3
- Australia vs Egypt — Dallas Stadium, Dallas
- Argentina vs Cabo Verde — Miami Stadium, Miami
Once the Round of 32 is completed, the competition will move into the Round of 16, followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place playoff and the championship match.
The final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the MetLife Stadium.
