Former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has remained defiant despite suffering another defeat, insisting his spirit remains unbroken even as his losing streak continues.

The Nigerian-born fighter was stopped in the second round by American contender Joe Pyfer at UFC Fight Night 271 in Seattle on Saturday night.

Pyfer secured a technical knockout victory at 4:18 of Round 2 after dominating on the ground, marking Adesanya’s fourth consecutive loss.

Adesanya, who came into the bout with a 24-5 record, showed flashes of his trademark style early in the fight, controlling distance and landing precise counter-strikes in the opening round.

However, Pyfer weathered the early pressure and shifted momentum with powerful punches before taking the fight to the ground.

In the second round, Pyfer pinned Adesanya against the cage, executed a takedown, moved into full mount, and delivered relentless ground-and-pound strikes. Referee Herb Dean stepped in to stop the contest after Adesanya was overwhelmed.

Despite the setback, Adesanya remained resolute in a post-fight interview that has since gone viral.

“I will keep going again and again and again and again. I’m not f***ing leaving. You can’t stop me.

“I might get beaten, but I’d always remain undefeated,” he said.

The loss adds to a difficult run for the 36-year-old, who has previously fallen to Sean Strickland, Dricus du Plessis, and Nassourdine Imavov, raising concerns about his future in the middleweight division.
