Habeeb ‘Peller’ Hamzat, popular on TikTok, has issued a public apology following a car crash he caused during a live stream, an incident that led to his arrest by Lagos police.
The stunt, which took place on Sunday, was described by authorities as “extremely dangerous,” with officials warning that it could have put both the influencer and the public at serious risk.
The case has since been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
In an Instagram video shared on Friday, Peller expressed deep remorse, admitting that he allowed his emotions to influence his actions.
He said, “I am sorry for everything I did, please I am sorry. I let my emotions get to me that is why I did what I did.”

He continued, “I am very sorry please, you can call me anything, abuse me. I am sorry, I did not do it intentionally, please forgive me. Please do not bully Jarvis anymore, leave her, this matter does not concern her, it is all on me.”
Following his release, Peller posted again on Instagram, assuring fans he would never repeat such dangerous behavior. “I am sorry you all, please I will never do such thing again. I am very very sorry, once I am done with my medication, I will be back,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Jarvis confirmed that the pair had already ended their relationship prior to the incident.
