The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed 10 Nigerians on the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) “Worst of the Worst” register over alleged offences ranging from fraud and identity theft to drug, weapons and child-related crimes.
The DHS disclosed the development in a statement published on its official website on Thursday, listing the Nigerian nationals alongside the offences for which they were arrested.
Those named include Temitope Bashua of Allenwood, Pennsylvania, who was arrested over allegations of wire fraud, identity theft and fraud, and Ojehoro Lewis of Conroe, Texas, who was arrested for cruelty towards a child.
Also listed was Osemudiamen Oziegbe of Louisville, Kentucky, who was arrested for wire fraud, while Daniel Oworen of Conroe, Texas, was arrested over dangerous drugs.
Raymond Ekevwo of Oxford, Wisconsin, was listed for wire fraud, while Franklin Dikeocha of Dallas, Texas, was arrested over a sex offence against a child involving fondling.
Johnson Ogunlana of White Deer, Pennsylvania, was also listed for fraud and identity theft.
The register further included Chukwuemeka Okorocha of Allenwood, Pennsylvania, who was arrested over allegations involving wire fraud, dangerous drugs, possession of a weapon and aggravated assault involving a non-family gun.
Tunde Korede, also from Allenwood, Pennsylvania, was listed for conspiracy, while Chukwuemeka Chinye of Pollock, Louisiana, was arrested for larceny from a banking-type institution, fraud, identity theft and conspiracy.
The DHS said the register was established to highlight cases involving individuals it described as the “worst of the worst criminal aliens” arrested by ICE.

The department said the arrests form part of the Trump administration’s wider immigration enforcement and mass deportation campaign, which has placed particular emphasis on undocumented immigrants with criminal records.
“Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations – starting with the worst of the worst,” the department said.
The listing identifies the individuals by their alleged offences and arrests; inclusion on the register does not by itself establish criminal guilt for an allegation.
