Nollywood actor Olatayo Amokade, better known as Ijebu, has called on Big Brother Naija season 10 winner Imisi to end her ongoing public dispute with her mother. He made the appeal in a video shared on his Instagram page on Sunday evening.
The feud reportedly began after Imisi claimed her N150 million BBNaija prize money had led to tensions with her mother. During her time on the reality show, Imisi opened up about her difficult childhood, revealing she had suffered rape at age 12 and had an abortion at 13. She also recounted being sent out of her home at age 11 and selling fufu with her grandmother until her grandmother’s home was destroyed by fire.
Weeks after her BBNaija victory, Imisi’s mother appeared in a viral video alleging that she had been neglected. Imisi, however, questioned the timing of her mother’s complaints, pointing out their strained relationship even before her rise to fame.
“Before I won BBNaija, I was living my life and you would not even call me in one or two years, so why is there a problem now?” she asked. She further added, “God knows I tried. I still sent money to you last week and four days ago. Will I kill myself? You cannot remove N1 out of the money I won for anybody’s comfort. I have 100 people in the family looking up to me alone.”
Reacting to the dispute, Ijebu urged Imisi to reconcile with her mother and seek forgiveness. He emphasized the importance of respecting parents, calling her mother her “mini god.”

“Imisi, I know you are a good girl. The Bible said we should honour our parents. This evening or tomorrow morning, I want you to visit your mother, go on your knees, hold her legs, and tell her you are sorry. Let her pray for you. No matter what she might have done to you, she is still your mini god on earth. After this, I don’t want to hear any dragging again online. If I hear anything again, I will be so mad at you,” Ijebu said.
The appeal highlights the importance of family reconciliation and the ongoing impact of social media disputes among public figures.
