Nigerian activist, Verydarkman, has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is plotting to arrest him on false charges due to his outspoken criticism of the agency’s chairman, Olanipekun Olukoyede.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the activist claimed that the EFCC is working against him after receiving footage of him spraying money at an event. He further alleged that a prominent lawyer and an influencer recently met with EFCC officials, urging them to take action against him.
According to him, an insider at the EFCC informed him that his name had been flagged as a target due to his repeated criticism of the commission and its leadership.
“Two people visited EFCC Abuja today—an influencer and a well-known lawyer. I know this because I have informants in their office. They came with video evidence and told EFCC that this is their chance to go after me,” he claimed.
He also alleged that an EFCC officer confirmed that the agency was interested in silencing him for speaking out against their chairman and the institution.
His claims have since sparked conversations online, with many weighing in on the controversy.
