Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has issued a fresh clarification after a troubling message circulated online, creating panic and raising concerns about his marriage to Natasha.
The singer stated that the situation has been blown out of proportion and is now putting his wife in harm’s way.
He emphasized that he did not author the alarming Instagram story that triggered the widespread confusion.
According to him, the viral post created unnecessary tension and painted an inaccurate picture of what is happening in his home.
In a video shared on Wednesday by X.com user #AsakeGrn, the Afrobeats star expressed worry over the snowballing narrative, noting that the reactions from fans have escalated the matter beyond normal boundaries.
“This is getting out of hand, this is a dangerous situation, I know what fans can do, I know what people can do, and this is putting Natasha at risk,” he said.

He urged friends, family, and supporters to give him space to handle the situation privately, stressing that misunderstandings are part of every relationship but the current uproar has become excessive.
“It is not fair on anybody to face this kind of thing, so I need everybody to calm down, I need everybody to cease fire, we are going to resolve all these issues. People dey get issues for house, no be today, but this is getting out of hand. Friends, family, everybody, cease fire, I am perfectly fine. I did not post that post, please, I am okay,” he added.
This clarification comes after earlier reports suggested that 2Baba was briefly detained by UK authorities during his October tour following an alleged disagreement with Natasha.
The incident resurfaced when he and his wife were overheard arguing during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, fuelling fresh speculation about trouble in their marriage.
