The Imole Campaign Council has promised to mobilise 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, following the appointment of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the president’s campaign council.
The council said the Accord Party’s political structure in Osun would be deployed to support Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Its Director General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, welcoming Adeleke’s inclusion in the revised list of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election.
Adeleke was named State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun. Other prominent figures on the revised list include the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; and Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo.
Reacting to the appointment, Oyewumi described it as recognition of Adeleke’s capacity to deliver electoral support for Tinubu in the state.
“The Imole Campaign Council welcomes the appointment of Governor Adeleke as State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the Presidential election will not be misplaced.
“We promise the President, just like Governor Adeleke said sometimes ago, that we will deliver 1.5million votes to ensure his victory in the coming Presidential election,” he said.
The council also called on residents of Osun to support Adeleke, urging them to have confidence in his administration as he continues to implement his campaign promises.
It told the electorate that backing Tinubu in the presidential election would also amount to supporting the Osun governor.
“The TICC urged the Osun people to trust and support the governor ‘as he continues to deliver on his campaign promises. A vote for President Tinubu is a support for Governor Adeleke,’” the statement added.
