About 10 commuters were injured on Monday morning after a Honda car crashed into two commercial tricycles at the Federal Bus Stop along Ipaja Road in Lagos State.

The accident, which occurred around 8:50 a.m., involved a Honda vehicle with registration number KTU 921 JY.

Eyewitnesses said the female driver was allegedly speeding when she tried to avoid hitting a street sweeper working with the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

According to reports from the scene, the driver reportedly struck the sweeper before losing control of the vehicle. The car then veered into the opposite lane and rammed into two commercial tricycles carrying passengers.

Several victims sustained varying degrees of injuries, with some said to be in serious condition while others suffered only minor wounds.

Sources at the scene disclosed that the injured passengers were initially rushed to a nearby private hospital for emergency treatment before some were later transferred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital for further medical care.
