Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced plans for the burial of her mother, Emily Faye Adewale, who died on Sunday, October 18, 2026, after a prolonged illness.
The actress disclosed her mother’s death on Monday through her verified Instagram page. On Wednesday, she shared a funeral announcement revealing that the deceased would be laid to rest on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
Details on the obituary poster indicated that the funeral service would commence at noon at Advantage Funeral Home, Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40272, United States.
The poster, decorated with floral designs and a photograph of the deceased, carried the inscription: “In Loving Memory – Emily Faye Adewale – Forever in our hearts.”
Adunni Ade, whose full name is Adunni Adewale, was born in Queens, New York, to a Yoruba father and a German-Irish mother.
Following her mother’s death, the actress paid an emotional tribute to her, describing the loss as an acceptance of the will of Almighty Allah.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him shall we return. With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness,” she wrote.

She also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon her late mother, asking that she be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus.
According to the actress, her mother is survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones.
