Former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has married his fourth wife.
The traditional wedding which took place last weekend in Kubwa, Abuja, where the bride’s parents live, was low key.
The event, which was not announced through invites was attended by close friends and family members.
The bride, 23-year-old Hiqma, was welcomed into the Bello’s family by the third wife, Hajia Hafiza, who also announced it on Instagram.
Taking to her handle, Hajia Hafiza wrote, “Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin!
The former governor who is still facing corruption charges in court, was born on June 18, 1975, in Okene, Kogi State, Nigeria.
He has been married three times to first, Amina Oyiza Bello, is a lawyer and philanthropist. She is the founder of Hayat Foundation, a non-governmental organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the less privileged in Kogi State. The couple has children together. There is also Hafiza and Rashidat Bello who are accomplished women too.
The third wife, Hafiza was seen in a video, welcoming the new bride.
