The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has disclosed the strength behind the success of the various reforms of his 3-year-old administration.
Speaking at the Alaghodaro 2019 Summit held in Benin City, Edo State capital, to celebrate his third year in office Obaseki said the reforms and people-oriented policies he has implemented in the state that have changed the fortunes of the people would earn him a second term in office.
Obaseki, who spoke highly of women during the Edo Women Summit, which was a part of the Alaghodaro19 Summit, reiterated the contribution of women to the achievements recorded by his administration in the last three years.
He said, “They are solid pillars behind reforms in the state. The areas we have made the most improvements are headed by women. These include basic education, housing, healthcare, child right laws, reducing the incidence of human trafficking and irregular migration. Others are EdoJobs and EdoProductionCentre.
The governor, whose educational reforms in Edo State has attracted international commendations, introduced computerised teaching aids in the various primary schools spread across the state.
