Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has publicly confronted a social media critic after comments were made about her son, Jamil Balogun, from her previous marriage to Tunji Teebillz Balogun.
The incident began when the critic shared a video on X showing Savage dancing with her son at an event, captioning it, “Omo, why is Tiwa Savage’s Son frowning.”
Savage responded firmly, emphasizing that while critiques of her career are expected, targeting her child crosses a line. She wrote, “@TheDamiForeign you see that I never cared about your paid agenda to bring me down and you’ve been doing it for a long time. You talking about my child is crossing the line. Dami with my FULL CHEST e no go better for you. You even posted that you wanted me to die young…. Back to sender.”

She also called out the critic’s focus on her, stating, “the obsession with me is loud but your relevance is missing.”
The 45-year-old singer warned that any future commentary about her son would not remain on social media, signaling that the matter could escalate further.
The critic has previously sparked controversy with remarks about Savage, including a viral post suggesting the singer was “getting old,” which ignited widespread discussion online.
