Both are married to brothers of same parents. Ironically, they have never interacted, never shared any act of love or fellowship on social media and they have conspicuously not followed each other on social media.
Forget family visits—Laura and Amara Kanu don’t do that.
Married to ex footaballer, Kanu Nwankwo, the pretty Amara, who became a wife at 18 years, now has three kids.
Now 33 years, she is a graduate and a fitness expert.
However, Laura Ikeji, sister to celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji, who is married to Ogbonna Kanu, has indicated interest to end whatever is the feud in the family especially between the Kanu wives.
Recently, Laura replied a fan on social media that she is not following Amara because they are not friends.
Well, Laura again, took to Instagram on Wednesday and wrote on why she said she wasn’t Amara Kanu’s friends.
She wrote:
“Hey guys,
So this is my beautiful sister in-law, heard she’s great, heard because we have never met but heard she’s cool. Hopefully we’ll meet soon and talk x hug this whole thing out.
We were quite cordial until she called my husband out on Instagram n never apologized. Since then we never spoke or exchanged messages, hence the “We re not friends statement.
Listen guys I’m not someone to ever bring negative light to the family, I’m a strong defender of family, u see how I love my siblings that’s how I’ve been with all my in-laws. I don’t want to be known as someone who would intentionally bring division among siblings cos I won’t want that With my brother or sisters.
My husband n his brother re quite close n I don’t want that to change for any reason Whatsoever.
I won’t want that to happen to me and Peks. Besides my in-law is an amazing man.
Pls enough of the hate, enough of the name calling, enough of supporting one family or the other, let’s stop the team A or B. In the end we will all sit at a table and eat as one big happy Kanu family.
All I said were from an angry place and I’m never someone to be angry or let a troll get to me. I shouldn’t have.
So hey let’s be a lil kinder and let love lead.
Will make the first move and put a call through. And Amara pls call ur bro inlaw hun, it’s time for that talk.” (sic)
Recall the cold war between Amara and Ogbonna Kanu was made evident in 2017 and when Amara wrote a comment on Ogbonna’s post on Instagram.
Ogbonna had posted a photo of a ticket to the Leeds United game going down on Saturday, and revealed he was viewing it live.
He captioned the photo: “Leeds united game today. am there live.” (sic)
If he thought he scored a point doing that, he was wrong.
Amara dropped a “bombshell”.
She wrote in the comment section:
“You are a coward and liar. That’s my sons ticket. He was supposed to follow his dad to the Leeds game today but no. You have never allowed Kanu to be in peace with his family. You tried that with me all these years thinking I will die and now you want to come near my children. You can’t. You won’t. Oloshi oloriburuku. Borrow pose. @ogbobekee1, don’t mess with my children’s things or their dad.” (sic)
Meanwhile, the pretty wife of legendary Kanu has Ignored Laura and her post.
