Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has shared an emotional tribute following the death of her husband, Michael Ndika, expressing deep sorrow over his passing.
In a series of posts on her Instagram story, the singer reflected on her grief and the pain of losing her partner, saying she struggles to cope with life without him.
Niniola had earlier announced Ndika’s death on May 20, though the circumstances were not disclosed. The family has scheduled a service of songs for June 4, followed by his burial on June 5.
Posting photos from their court wedding in the United States, she wrote, “I cannot live without Michael.”
She further expressed that she would have preferred to suffer loss herself rather than lose her husband, whom she described as the most important person in her life.
“I cannot live without Michael. God, you could’ve taken my kidney, an arm or a leg. You should’ve even taken me instead, but that one person that made my life worth it, you took away from me,” she wrote.

The singer also described her shock and pain, saying they lived a quiet and peaceful life together before his passing.
“We did not disturb anybody, just living lives on our own terms. What a jealous God you truly are because you had the power to spare him but decided to flex muscles. Kukumo, finish what you started na, I’m ready.”
Niniola had previously spoken about Ndika’s strong influence on her career, describing him as the “engine” behind her success.
