Queen Sekinat Aramide Elegushi is dead?
The unverified rumour jolted everyone on social media.
Since last Thursday night when notorious London blogger, Basirat Tolulope Adeoye Olowogaba aka Abike Jagaban,. made a ‘show’ on Facebook and announced the death of Queen Sekinat Aramide Elegushi, social media has been in a turmoil.
Abike even corroborated her claim with a narrative that Queen Sekinat’s aunt told her about the ‘death’ amidst tears!
Abike, a notorious Facebook celebrity, had the ‘show’ just a few days after social media went agog with the news of Queen Sekinat falling into a coma after undergoing a butt enlargement surgery in Istanbul, Turkey.
Queen Sekinat never had a surgery in Turkey
Palaces sources in Ikate revealed that the last time Queen Elegushi went to Turkey was in 2018.
“She went with her husband and hasn’t been to Turkey since then. Where did the imaginary butt surgery take place? After three beautiful daughters, the queen still retained her curvy frame, why would she go for a surgery? She was in the United States between February and March 2023. Queen Sekinat was in Nigeria all through Ramadhan and hasn’t left the country ever since,” sources revealed to Kemi Ashefon.

“I’m hale and hearty. I am alive. I am not dead. Abike Jagaban should tell Nigerians which queen is dead,” Oloori Sekinat Elegushi said when Kemi Ashefon contacted her on telephone on Thursday night.
Why Abike Jagaban Wants Queen Sekinat Dead
Her show on Facebook last Thursday was an irresponsible act. It’s obvious Abike is envious of Queen Sekinat. “You are having a show and announced with crocodile tears that a popular queen died in Lagos and you could not verify from either King Elegushi or any of his associates. Didn’t Abike claim to be close to the Ooni? Why didn’t she verify from him? Ooni is a close friend to King Saheed Elegushi.
“Abike had always been envious of many beautiful and elegant queens. Since she couldn’t get to marry any king, she foisted on herself the title of a queen and bullies other notable queens online! No reasonable king will marry Abike, that’s why she wants beautiful queens dead,” sources said.
Banned In Ooni Of Ife’s Palace
Abike engineered the flagrant display of disrespect meted out to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, by many Facebook bloggers. She boasts of being a close ally of the monarch and how she enters the palace without restrictions.
Well, Abike has been barred in Ile Ife palace! “She dare not come to that palace now because the Ooni and some of his wives have instructed aides and their security personnel that Abike is no longer welcomed. Though she still poses as if she has free access to the palace, she has been declared a persona non grata in most palaces in Yorubaland,” sources disclosed to Kemi Ashefon.
Curses Galore
Not a few Nigerians—home and abroad— have been raining curses on Abike for announcing the death of a queen who is alive!
This isn’t new to her. Abike Jagaban shot into social infamy in 2015, after she slandered and tagged her former best friend, Jibike Tanni Olaribigbe as an adulterer. In a series of voice notes, which went viral, Abike had revealed that Jibike’s child belonged to another man, and not her husband!
Meanwhile, Jibike waited 10 years before she became a mother. This scandal stirred a volcanic reaction from Nigerians around the world, with many of them placing curses on Abike.
“Curses aren’t new to Abike. As long as she originated that story about Queen Sekinat, who is alive and well, Abike would continue to ‘collect’ curses,” many wrote on social media.
