The United States’ Embassy has denied depriving the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, otherwise known as Winners’ Chapel International, David Oyedepo, visa into the US.
ThisDay had erroneously reported that Oyedepo was at the embassy in Abuja on Thursday where he was told that he did not qualify for visa renewal after its assessment
The newspaper also claimed that Oyedepo created a scene at the embassy after being denied visa.
However, in a tweet on Friday, the embassy said the report was false.
“#FalseNews Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false. If you have seen this manufactured item in the media, help defeat this #misinformation by communicating to everyone that it is completely false,” the tweet said.
Living Faith Church has also made a statement denying the report.
