Waje Shuns Tiwa Savage’ Dad Burial…Here’s Where She Went Instead

To mention that international songstress, Tiwa Savage shut down Lagos was an understatement—she brought the entire Nigerian entertainment industry to her father’s burial.

The event which took place on September 3, 2021 remained the talk-of-town to date.

She hosted many guests from all walks of life to sumptuous meals and drinks at the Federal Palace Hotels Lagos.

What more? The Ankara fabrics which was given out as aso ebi (uniform) brightened up the rainy day as celebrities and many dignitaries turned up for the party adorned in the ankara.

But many female artistes in the entertainment industry were not present.

Conspicuously absent from the August occasion were songstresses Omawunmi, Waje, and Seyi Shey.

“Tiwa was said to have sent the ‘aso ebi’ to Waje and Omawumi but they didn’t show up. Nobody is bothered about Seyi Shey because she had an altercation with Tiwa a few months ago at a Lagos hairdressing salon,” a source told kemiashefonlovehaven.

Though Waje also lost her father and was preparing for the burial, many fans of the artiste were shocked when she buried her father on Sunday September 5, 2021 and was later sighted at Toyin Abraham’s movie premiere later in the evening!

“Of course she met Tiwa at Toyin Abraham’s. So, Waje could still squeeze time to attend a movie premiere some hours after her

Dad’s burial? Its obvious Waje, Omawumi (who didn’t show up at Tiwa’s party at all) and Seyi Shey don’t like Tiwa. Tiwa had already served Seyi her tea.

Omawumi and Waje? Well, they have chosen the path they want to tread in their vocation. You cannot be hating on a colleague an want to fly. Tiwa is flying and growing her brand, shut down Lagos during her dad’s burial and life goes on. We need more love in the entertainment industry,” a reliable source said.

However, many were shocked but full of respect for Tiwa Savage who turned up for Waje’s father’s burial on that Sunday and even wore the aso ebi! She didn’t go home from Waje’s party but drove straight to Toyin Abraham’s premiere with Waje’s father’s aso ebi. Tiwa sat with Toke Makinwa who also wore the same aso ebi.
