Nigeria international and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has survived a car accident in Germany.

The incident occurred on Saturday night just hours after leading Bayer Leverkusen to a crucial win over Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

The 23-year-old scored the winner for Bayer Leverkusen in the 72nd minute despite having missed an early penalty as the reigning champions beat Frankfurt 2-1.

Boniface shared images of the damaged car on Instagram Stories, thanking God for sparing his life.

“God said it’s not yet my time. Na so una for hear say my enemy don die,” he wrote.

The former Union SG star suffered minor injuries to his hand and will be hoping he is fit enough to return to action.
