Controversial online critic and activist, Verydarkman, has sent shockwaves across social media with his revelation of a cyber-attack on his recently launched NGO account.

The account, which focuses on supporting public secondary schools through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, was reportedly compromised by hackers.

Verydarkman disclosed that ₦180 million out of the ₦200 million in the account was stolen in the attack.

The activist admitted that the incident has left him emotionally shaken. He also revealed that one suspect linked to the hacking has been apprehended.

“For the past few days, I’ve not been myself, and it hasn’t been easy because someone hacked into the NGO. We have arrested one suspect,” he stated.

The revelation sparked mixed reactions online:

  • Hope Raymond commented, “I told one of my friends something like this will happen; he said VDM is a saint and nothing will happen to the money.”
  • Prince Nnmadi queried, “Why do you still keep that money in the account without using it as it comes in? Your notice-me is too much.”
  • Okechukwu Victor expressed skepticism, asking, “How did you track the person so easily? If you see cooked-up stories, you go know.”

While the incident continues to trend, critics and supporters alike are questioning the management and security measures surrounding the NGO’s funds.
