The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has officially addressed the viral video showing a female student physically assaulting a lecturer over a video recording dispute.


The incident, which has drawn widespread reactions online, involved Dr. Chukwudi Okoye from the Department of Theatre Arts and Goddy Mbakwe Precious, a 300-level student of History and International Studies.

In a statement signed by the university’s Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, the institution assured the public that a full-scale, transparent, and unbiased investigation is underway.
