There was confusion on Friday morning over the health status of former presidential spokesperson, Dr Doyin Okupe, as conflicting reports emerged regarding his condition.
Sources close to the family disclosed that the ex-Director-General of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council was in a critical state, while some political associates, speaking anonymously, claimed he had passed away.
Okupe was reportedly battling an undisclosed illness for weeks before undergoing surgery at an undisclosed hospital. However, as of the time of this report, his family has neither confirmed nor denied the rumours of his death.
