Veteran Nollywood actor Kola Oyewo has opened up about how health challenges have affected his acting career, revealing that he can no longer take on certain roles.
Speaking in an interview with Kunle Afod, the respected actor reflected on his past energy and dedication to his craft, noting that he once gave his all on set without limitations.
However, he explained that his condition, coupled with age, has significantly reduced his strength, making it difficult for him to perform as he used to.
Oyewo disclosed that after undergoing surgery, he began experiencing physical limitations that now prevent him from accepting some roles. Despite this, he expressed gratitude to God, noting that some people remain strong even in their 80s, while others face health struggles.
The actor also recounted a moment during his treatment when he was referred to a hospital in Akure. He said he became uncertain about who would care for him there and decided to return home instead, where he sought help from his family doctor.

According to him, his health issues began with frequent urination, which disrupted his sleep and daily routine. He explained that the condition often made it difficult to reach the restroom in time.
After undergoing several medical tests, Oyewo said he was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate, a condition that has since impacted his lifestyle and career.
