Nollywood Actress Toyin Aimakhu (now Abraham) is in high spirits currently.
The actress who is yet to legally divorce from actor Adeniyi Johnson, has not only regained her groove back, she has also managed her new image well to the extent of garnering thousands of followers on social media.
On Thursday, Toyin, who had confessed in an earlier interview with Broadway TV some months ago, revealed the transition she went through. Not only that, she revealed how she made money from her last work, “Alakada Reloaded.”
She wrote on Instagram:
“I am super grateful to God for all he has done for me in the past few months.
When I look at the mirror now, I’m almost unrecognisable.
I am grateful to a new set of wonderful team(management, PR, Style, and others) I am grateful to fans who stood by me, encouraged me and supported “Alakada Reloaded” at the cinema. You guys did not make me a celeb with social media following without influence. .
You made Alakada Reloaded a record breaking movie to gross 75million (the first mixed language movie to gross 75million). I am grateful to the owners of the cinemas (FilmHouse, Silverbird, Genesis, Ozone Cinema, Kada Cinema, Viva Cinema) for not killing the movie and Filmone (Mr. Kene 1, Mr. Kene 2, Mr Moses, Mimi and the team), thank you for believing.
I am grateful to Bola Oba for doing business with me. I am grateful to my colleagues that acted in Alakada. I am grateful to the media and bloggers (in your own days, you guys are awesome) .
I am grateful to those who constantly give me opportunities to explore this acting talent.
I am also grateful to the past because it didn’t break me. The past made me find the new me, (I am loving the new me) and look forward to the “Future me”
The last quarter of the year will be awesome.
I am in “Wives on Strike:The Revolution” in cinema from December 29, 2017 and I can’t wait to start filming #SevenandaHalfDate @sevenandahalfdate (You will love this) with actor, producer and director I haven’t worked with in the past.
I have a couple of other projects I won’t be able to say here.
All my social media #titans, thank you for the support. I won’t be the leader of Toyintitans without #Toyintitans finally @samuelolatunji: God will continue to bless you.
Guys, it’s time to dream new dreams and make room for more.
Thank you.
NB: I was in Kebbi last week with the First Ladies of Kebbi, Kwara and Ondo States to raise awareness for cancer, I will be in Abuja this weekend and play novelty match with some Super Eagles Players, please join me if you can. See you at the top.
