Unlike women in her shoes, she has so far maintained a quiet profile as a wife of a billionaire.
But for a few appearances during social functions, you hardly see Dr. Mrs Awele Elumelu.
Little wonder, her husband, billionaire Tony Elumelu, on Sunday called her his quiet backbone.
This, he did as she celebrates another birthday today.
Mr Elumelu also called his wife of 26 years his ‘mom extraordinaire’ in a tweet which accompanied several pictures of the big family.
“Celebrating Queen of House TOE; my quiet backbone; and mom extraordinaire. Happy birthday Awele! #DrMrsTOE,” he wrote. 
Elumelu got married to Awele in 1993. The pair have seven children — five girls and two boys.
Awele Elumelu is the Chairperson of Avon Healthcare Limited and CEO of Avon Medical Services Limited. She is an Investment Professional at Heirs Holdings Limited where she oversees the healthcare investments.
