For a Nigerian young man to have given a beautiful girl such as On-Air Personality, Toke Makinwa N10million without expecting anything in return, then he must be an angel.
That was what Toke revealed recently and she said the music artiste D’banj is the first Nigerian man to give her money without expecting anything in return.
Toke recalled her first meeting with the musician during a Thursday encounter surrounded by unidentified individuals, emphasising his confidence in her abilities.
A video of their meeting which has gone viral was shared in Instagram.
She explained that years later, as she began her career, D’banj continued to support her. At her book launch, he generously pledged N10 million, which he promptly transferred by 8 a.m. the next morning.
“I wrote a book, and at the launch, D’banj stood up and promised N10 million. By 8 a.m. the next morning, it was in my account,” she said.
Makinwa added that D’banj was the first Nigerian man to ever give her money with no expectations, affectionately calling him her “major guy”.
