Recall in 2024 when Toke clocked 40, video footage from her birthday thanksgiving surfaced online, sparking speculations that she had tied the knot with Farouk, her best friend.
However, just as she denied getting married to her ex husband, Maje Ayida, until she could not hide it again, Toke Makinwa addressed rumours surrounding her alleged marriage to longtime friend Farouk Umar.
In the videos, Toke and Farouk were dressed in white.
Social media buzzed with congratulatory messages.
However, Toke Makinwa clarified the situation by sharing a video from the event on social media captioned “Thanksgiving service”.
In a previous post, she reflected on a prophecy she received years ago, which stated that “eyes have not seen, ears have not heard what God is about to do” in her life.
She said she was unsure of her path at the time the prophecy was made, adding that it has come to fruition.
“Today I testify of His goodness. Happy TM Thanksgiving day… Counting down to my birthday,” Toke added.

Reports suggest that Farouk Umar was previously in a romantic relationship with actress Sharon Onoja.
Among celebrities present at the event were Kate Henshaw, Enioluwa Adeoluwa and BBNaija’s Wanni, Handi and Liquorose.
Toke Makinwa, who first gained fame as a radio host on Rhythm FM before becoming one of Nigeria’s most recognisable media figures, has built a career spanning radio, television, film, fashion and entrepreneurship.
