President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a three-state visit to Borno, Bauchi, and Lagos states, departing Abuja on Saturday, according to a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
While in Borno State, the President is scheduled to commission projects executed by Governor Babagana Zulum and the Federal Government.
He will also attend the wedding of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State governor Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

“From Maiduguri, the President will move to Bauchi to condole with the Government of Bauchi State and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood,” the statement partly read. Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi passed away on November 27.
After the condolence visit, President Tinubu will proceed to Lagos State, where he will spend the upcoming end-of-year holidays. While in Lagos, he is expected to be the Guest of Honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27.
“He is expected to be the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27, among his numerous engagements while in the city,” the statement noted. The festival, which will take place at Tafawa Balewa Square, will also pay tribute to prominent figures including Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, and former Lagos State governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
