
Sir Shina Peters’s wife, Sammie, has also joined thousands of Tessy Yembra’s fans to mourn her.
Tessy Yembra, the dancer who added some colour and drama to Sir Shina Peters’ monster hit song and music creation, Afro Juju, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, after a prolonged illness.
Taking to Instagram, Sammie wrote, “Tessy l can’t believe you are gone! Still in shock. Rest on till we meet to path no more. My friend with a golden heart. Always happy, no dull moment. Ah iku doro 😭😭😭😭”
Tessy who was nicknamed African Tina Turner was famous for her dance prowess in late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister’s Fuji Garbage àlbum 1985 and Sir Shina Peters’ Ijo Shina.
Mrs. Tessy Yembra has since being buried immediately but her family will hold a special prayer for her at Fadeyi on the eighth day while another prayer will be held in her honour after 41days.
