Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has named Terry G as the celebrity he wants to face in the boxing ring after his scheduled rematch with actor Charles Okocha.
The street-pop star made the revelation during an appearance on Rubbin’ Minds on Channels Television, where he dismissed suggestions that social media critic VeryDarkMan was his preferred opponent.
Asked if he would like to fight VeryDarkMan, Portable replied, “Terry G.
“I want to fight Terry G.”
The singer claimed a showdown with Terry G would restore public attention to the veteran musician.
“If Terry G fights me one-on-one in boxing, I swear to God he will rise again. People will remind him again,” he said.
When asked whether he was trying to revive Terry G’s career, Portable answered, “Yeah! I just train. I want to blow him.”
Portable also revealed that he intends to begin an overseas music tour after his July 31, 2026, bout with Charles Okocha.
“After I fight and I beat Charles Okocha, I’m going to London. If I come back from London, I want to fight Terry G,” he said, adding that he also plans to perform in the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai and South Africa.
Speaking about his growing interest in boxing, the singer argued that he has played a major role in making celebrity boxing popular in Nigeria.
“I want to face my career. I don try for Nigeria. I use my own music career, I use am build boxing, Nigeria boxing. I use am rise am.
“Which boxer fit come out say he collect money pass me for this Nigeria? You dey collect reach ₦100 million. How many belts do you have? How many rounds did you fight? How much did you collect?” he said.
Portable also disclosed that he had already received ₦50 million ahead of the fight, claiming the total purse for the contest is ₦150 million.
“I don collect ₦50 million. We are fighting for ₦150 million,” he said.

The singer expressed confidence that he would defeat Okocha.
“Don’t worry, not if I win. I’m winning this match,” he said.
He added, “I’m the face of boxing in Nigeria 2026.”
Portable also reiterated his support for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring, “I’m supporting Tinubu!”
The July 31 contest follows Okocha’s decision to activate the rematch clause after losing their first meeting by unanimous decision.
Portable has previously recorded celebrity boxing victories over Speed Darlington and Kelvin Atobiloye, popularly known as Kelvin Power. His only defeat in the ring came against content creator Carter Efe, who beat him by unanimous decision at the Chaos in the Ring event in May 2026.
