Nigerian singer, Teni Apata simply known by her stage name Teni has taken to Twitter to share her opinion on the debate of gender equality.
The ‘I Wanna Be A Billionaire’ crooner stated that there is nothing wrong in a woman proposing to her man.
While also calling out feminists on double standards, Teni said some women claim to be equal with men but when it’s time to demonstrate it by kneeling down to propose to a man, they then remember that it’s not their place to do so.
In a series of tweets which started off as a fun question, with the artiste saying; “Please who wants to propose to his or her bae? Enter my DM! Free performance from me”, she went further to state that women can propose sometimes.
“Btw it’s not wrong for a woman to propose to her man! Y’all are feminists till it’s time to bend on one knee to ask a man to marry you! Aren’t we equal?” she wrote.
