The actress’ family announced the new funeral arrangements in an obituary shared on her official Instagram page on Monday.
The programme states that Osoba’s remains will leave the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH), Sagamu, at 9am, ahead of a burial service scheduled for 10am to 11am at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.
The family stated, “Body leaves OSUTH Sagamu by 9am. Burial service Thursday 10th of September, 10:00am–11:00am, Akesan Club opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.”
The obituary also noted that the interment would take place at the Iperu Remo Cemetery immediately after the burial service.
“Interment: Iperu Remo Cemetery ground, immediately after burial service,” the family added.
The dress code for the ceremony was listed as “White.”
Osoba, also known as Tope Osoba, died in early August 2026 at the age of 40.
She was a Yoruba-language actress and producer who spent nearly two decades in the Nigerian film industry and featured in movies including Oogun Mi.
About two years before her death, Osoba publicly shared her battle with breast cancer and appealed for assistance towards her treatment and surgery.
In August 2025, she announced that she had recovered from the illness and was returning to acting. She described the period as one of healing, rebranding and empowerment.
However, the circumstances surrounding her death have remained a subject of controversy, with conflicting accounts from her fiancé and family members.

Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, claimed that Osoba died after she was taken to a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos. Her relatives, however, reportedly gave a different account of what happened before her death.
The conflicting narratives have led to questions about the events surrounding the actress’ final hours.
Actor Yomi Fabiyi subsequently called for an investigation and autopsy to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
The family later warned the public and media against circulating unverified information about Osoba’s death, urging them to rely on statements released through its official channels.
Her burial had initially been scheduled for August 13 in Iperu Remo but was postponed indefinitely by the family.
The family has now fixed September 10 for the actress’ burial.
