The late gospel film actor, Moses Korede Are, popularly known as Baba Gbenro from the hit Christian series Abattoir, has been laid to rest in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Photos from the burial ceremony, shared by Zion Kulture on X, captured the solemn event as well-wishers dressed in white and blue gathered to pay their last respects.

Baba Gbenro, who was also the founder and International President of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry, passed away in November 2024, leaving a significant impact on the Christian film industry.

One of the images from the event showed his gold-trimmed casket adorned with floral decorations, as mourners bid him farewell.

Tributes have continued to pour in from fans and colleagues, including gospel filmmaker Mike Bamiloye, who earlier shared Baba Gbenro’s last words before his hospitalisation.

His passing adds to the list of notable Nigerian entertainers who died in 2024, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
