Former Big Brother Naija housemate and entrepreneur, Anita Natacha Akide, widely known as Tacha, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone after officially being recognized by Guinness World Records for setting two new records in makeup artistry.
Tacha earned the global recognition for completing the highest number of cosmetic makeovers within both eight-hour and 24-hour periods — a feat that has sparked widespread celebration among her fans and colleagues.
Confirming the news in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Guinness World Records wrote: “Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.”
The record-breaking attempt took place during the Tacha Beauty Festival, held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos. Over the course of the three-day event, Tacha and her team worked on 150 models.
According to Guinness World Records, the 29-year-old successfully completed 82 makeovers within eight hours and 144 within 24 hours, earning her two world titles in one of the most competitive creative categories.
Reacting to the recognition, Tacha shared an emotional post on Instagram, expressing deep gratitude to her fans, team, and late mother. She wrote: “The achievement was powered by grace, persistence, and the unwavering support of my TEAM and fans who refused to let me quit.”
Appreciating their encouragement, she continued: “You smiled, talked, cried, and hyped me till the very last second. From the depth of my heart, thank you. We didn’t just work! We warred.”
Revealing the challenges behind her success, Tacha added: “The world sees the headline, but God and I know the trenches: sleepless nights, generator hum, prayers at 3 AM, swollen feet, shaky hands and grace that does not lie.”

In her official statement to Guinness World Records, she reflected on her journey, saying: “The idea of daring to be different drove me. Makeup has always been. From childhood, I was fascinated by colours and beauty. This record was born from that same spirit, resilience, and the courage to stand out. I wanted to show that Nigerian women can achieve anything they put their minds to, that creativity is powerful, and that African women deserve global recognition.”
Addressing her supporters once more, she said: “To everyone who called, pulled up, reposted, believed before they saw it, thank you. The same God who did this for me knows the secret prayers in your heart, and He will answer you double.”
Tacha concluded with an inspiring note: “Do not stop. If you don’t have haters, pray for haters because they’ll push you into purpose. While they hate, I chase destiny and win. My first name is Anita; it means gracious. And grace is loud on my life.”
With this remarkable accomplishment, Tacha has solidified her place not just as a reality TV star but as a trailblazing Nigerian woman making waves on the global stage.
