Nollywood actress and mother of two, Stella Damasus has taken out time to remember her late husband, Jaiye Aboderin who passed away 20 years ago.
The Delta State born movie star took to her Instagram page to share touching words in remembrance of the father of her kids.
Obviously the US based mother of two returned to Nigeria with her daughters to honour their dad at the cemetery.


Posting the video of the kids and herself at the cemetery, Stella Damasus wrote, “Exactly 20 years ago today my husband JAIYE ABODERIN passed away. 20 years later with his children grown enough to honor his legacy in the same place, we went back there. It was not easy to get through this but I am grateful to God for strength. Special thanks to my family and friends who joined us and those who couldn’t make it but prayed and called. It is well with us. Jaiye is forever in our hearts. May his soul continue to rest in peace.
Damasus always ensures she pays tribute to Jaiye every year, making it clear that he remains rooted in her heart, even though, he’s dead.
Jaiye Aboderin died on December 3rd, 2004 at 33 years of age while playing basketball with friends. He and Stella Damasus had two children, Angelica and Isabella Aboderin.
She has since moved on and found love with one Igbo businessman and then, movie director, Daniel Ademinokan.
She has been twice married and divorced after Jaiye’ passing.
