Singer, Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, is quitting music.
To her, the music business is draining her resources and leaving her frustrated.
The 38-year-old mother of one disclosed this is an emotional interview posted on her YouTube account on Wednesday.
In the 12 minutes clip, she lamented the backlash and poor acceptance of her last album, Red Velvet, adding that music wasn’t making money for her and she needed to try other things.
Waje co-produced a movie, She Is, with friend and colleague, Omawumi, the movie opened in cinemas all over Nigeria from March 22.
The movie premiere was well attended by celebrities, friends, and fans that all came out to support Omawumi and Waje.
Famous faces in attendance included Banky W, Seyi Law, Adunni Ade, Toke Makinwa, Shaffy Bello, Funlola Aofiyebi Raimi, Mo’Cheddah, Eyinna Nwigwe, Bolanle Olukanni, Tobi Bakre and Eku Edewor.
