Detained Adeleke Senator Ademola Adeleke has been granted N2 million bail by a Magistrate Court in Mpape, Abuja.
Adeleke arrived at the court on Tuesday morning in a white bus.
The judge ruled that Adeleke must present a surety in like sum who must be resident within the court’s jurisdiction.
Police in Abuja instituted fresh five counts of forging a letter of attestation and result from Muslim Grammar School, Ede, Osun State.
They also alleged that the Senator submitted the said forged documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the said governorship election.
Adeleke denied the charges as the case has been adjourned until June 24.
Police are also prosecuting him on amended seven counts of examination malpractices before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The Osun West Senator was detained on Monday after he honoured an invitation at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
